Stock management

Stock management is done from the Pharmacy > Stock tab in the left menu. Before you can manage stock, you must have created supplies (see Supply Management) and storage areas (see Stock Management > Storage Area). To add a storage area from the pharmacy, click on the +.

In the pharmacy, each storage area is represented by a tab containing the list of supplies available for that area.

Activating stock management

By default, stock is not managed for supplies. To start managing the stock of a supply, click on the + on the supply line. A form appears, allowing you to fill in the quantity, expiration date (if applicable), and batch number (if applicable) to create your stock. It is also possible to add a note for better tracking.

Minimum threshold

By clicking on the number in the Minimum quantity column, you can define the threshold from which you want to receive a low stock alert.

To configure the recipients of low stock alerts, see User Management > Alert Management.

Stock movements

Once stock is created for a supply, you have the following options:

  • Add stock
  • Remove stock
  • Transfer stock (if multiple storage areas are available)
  • Create an order (see Creating and tracking orders) if one or more suppliers are filled in for this supply (see Supply Management).
  • Access the stock movement history for this supply.

For each stock movement, you can add a note to facilitate tracking.

Stock detail

The + in the left column of the table allows you to see the stock detail for each supply.

In this detail, the colored squares indicate the state of expiration dates:

  • An orange square indicates that an expiration date is close to expiring.
  • A red square indicates that the stock contains expired expiration dates.

If the entire line is colored, it means the stock is low.

For each line in the detail, you can also:

  • Add stock
  • Remove stock
  • Transfer stock (if multiple storage areas are available)
  • Delete stock (in case of error, for example).
